"I was born and raised in Hardin County, KY. Married 15 years, one son who is 21, two dogs. Undergrad in psychology from WKU, Masters in Social Work from U of L. I have been here at Radcliff Elementary since 2013."

About our center:

Family Resource and Youth Services Centers (FRYSC) were established by the Kentucky Education Reform Act (KERA) in 1990.  The primary goal of FRYSCs is to help academically at-risk students succeed in school by helping to minimize or eliminate non-cognitive barriers to learning, however, NHHS YSC programming and services are open to all NHHS families and students.

The Radcliff Elementary Family Resource Center (FRC) helps RES families and students solve problems and overcome barriers to learning through programs and referrals.  The FRC is managed by the coordinator and who is responsible for developing and implementing activities, programs, and services that best meet the needs of RES students and families.  The FRC staff works in collaboration with students, parents, school staff, community agencies, and an Advisory Council to help facilitate a nurturing and productive learning environment that empowers youth to become successful students and productive adults.  The RES FRC Advisory Council is composed of at least 1/3 parents no more than 1/3 community or 1/3 school personnel, and student representation. The Advisory Council meets 4x times per school year and meetings are open.

The FRYSC Mission:

To enhance students’ ability to succeed in school by developing and sustaining partnerships that promote:

·  Early learning and successful transition to school;

·  Academic achievement and well-being; and

·  Graduation and transition into adult life.

The FRYSC Vision:

The Kentucky Division of Family Resource and Youth Services Centers in the Cabinet for Health and Family Services shall establish the national standard of excellence in the provision of school-based family support.
